Pav Bhaji is one of my personal
favourite and I am very happy to
share this recipe here :-)
PAV BHAJI RECIPE:
Recipe Cuisine : Indain / Recipe category : Snack
Prep time : 15 mins / Cook time : 30 mins
INGREDIENTS:
Potato (baked / boiled) : 2 medium sized
Onions (chopped) : 1 medium sized
Tomatoes (chopped) : 3 medium sized
Oil / Butter : 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Green Chilly : 4 pcs
Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
Pav Bhaji masala : 1 /2 tblsp
Salt : As required
Lemon juice : As required
Pav Buns : As required
Onions & coriander (chopped) for garnish : As required
METHOD:
Bake or boil the potatoes & mash it.
Chop the onions, tomtoes & green chillies.
Heat Oil / butter & add cumin seeds/
green chillies.Fry for 10 secs.
Add chopped onions, salt & turmeric powder.
Cook the onions for few mins till golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes & cook it for few mins.
Now using a masher, mash the onions & tomatoes.
At this stage add the mashed paotatoes & give a stir.
Add pav bhaji masala & cook for few mins till the
raw masala flavour goes off.
Add chopped corianders & keep it aside.
Now heat pan, add 1 tsp of butter & let it melt.
Toast the pav buns till golden brown.
Place the raw onions, bhaji & pav buns in a plate.
Squeeze a tsp of lemon juice on the bhaji / gravy.
Enjoy yummy Pav Bhajis :-)
NOTE:
* Veggies like cauliflower, beans, carrots, green peas
can be boiled & added together with mashed potatoes.
* I used oil for bhaji & butter for buns. Oil / butter
anything can be used
* I used ham burger buns. Any buns can be used :)
* Using lemon juice is optional.
* I used sliced butter between the buns for decoration
& it is optional.
